Beth
Matt is an interdisciplinarian with a wide-ranging technical skillset covering software engineering, fine art, music, and long-distance hiking. His Diverse background helps him seamlessly translate between diverse sets of stakeholders and distill complex, requirements into elegant, actionable, sustainable solutions. Soon after receiving his Master's in Computer Science, Matt joined Lingua Logica as one of its first employees. He has since worked on multiple contracts, designing and implementing systems to manage NASA’s Atmospheric data Center’s vast atmospheric science data offerings. Matt has also worked for Silicon Valley-based cybersecurity company, FireEye, as the primary engineer for a suite of intuitive visual tools to control and analyze packet capture across their networks, enabling enterprise forensics and in-depth threat analysis.

Beth is the founder and President of Lingua Logica. She is a philosopher and a lover of logic, semantics, ontology, data, dogs, and horses. she is a former chair and current member of the Semantic Technology Committee of the Earth Science Information Partners, a member of the American Geophysical Union, and the Research Data Alliance, and a member of the American Meteorological Society. She has been the principal investigator for several NASA-funded research and development projects, including ODISEES: an Ontology-Driven Interactive Search Environment for Earth Science, AMP: An Automated Metadata Pipeline. Before leaving to pursue a PHD in Philosophy, Beth spent many years working as a litigation assistant at a small denver law firm.

Hieu is a versatile professional with skills spanning system administration, data science, software development, operations, and data visualization using geospatial and tabular data. He is passionate about learning new technologies, exploring new machine learning methods, and solving problems. He is currently exploring new machine learning methods for feature extraction from satellite imagery. Hieu has contributed to both research and technical operations on multiple NASA contracts. His expertise includes data analytics that combine socio-economic data and Earth science data, optimized gridding algorithms for global datasets, and automated data extraction. His technical expertise includes Python, ArcGIS, Docker, JupyterHub.
Alexis is a data and machine learning expert who leads our litigation support team, which she joined After earning her master’s in computational linguistics. she has a deep love for language and linguistics, and, alongside English, speaks French, German, and latin - the latter of which served as the basis for her master’s capstone project. Outside of work, Alexis enjoys coding projects, particularly developing mods for retro video games, and is a huge trekkie. Her main technical specialization is in natural language processing.
